Sometimes you just have to give into temptation and just go for it. After seeing Anna from Noodlehead’s pattern for the divided basket and seeing so many beautiful variations I bit the bullet and bought the pattern. I had to see what all the fuss was about and I had to see how Anna ingeniously included the divider bit. I’m so please I did as the pattern is brilliantly written and was frustration free. For once the pattern did exactly what it sets out to do and comes together beautifully. No fiddly bits, no extra grey hairs and certainly none lost due to pulling them out from the roots!
Armed with some denim and some bright apple fabric I set to work.
I’m thrilled with the results and now those pesky Skylanders have a proper home! No longer do they have to be set out like ornaments…which believe me they are not! LOL
I couldn’t wait to make another and the opportunity and reason to make another was staring straight at me the next morning when I looked over to the shelf to see bottles of hair products and hair brushes lingering about. In no time I had a second one made perfectly matched to my decor.
Having felt that I hadn’t quite worked it out of my system I set about a third basket. This time to house my ever growing leader and enders. The lovely basket Susan made me was over-flowing and will get put to use holding my quilting threads and thimble.
With the divided basket I have the pieces all set for the ones yet to sew and the completed units! Brilliant.
If you are at all tempted to try this pattern do…it is well written with plenty of pictures to guide you step-by-step.
(Disclaimer: This is my unsolicited opinion… I’m just really impressed with how easy this pattern was to follow :o) )
Until next time...♥
