McZips Giveaway!

I'd like to introduce you to McZips… a fab Etsy Shop based in Germany that sells zippers in every colour imaginable. Ready made zips are 8” long and if you need anything longer you can buy zippers by the yard with the coordinating zipper pulls.

This week I received a selection of zips from McZips and I was really taken by the vibrancy of the colours as well as the variety of colours.  My daughter and I had a wonderful time laying them all out in rainbow fashion and it gave us a great distraction from the rain! :o)

For me the big plus of McZips is that he is based in Europe... this is a big advantage as it greatly reduces the shipping costs and delivery is quick to the UK!

You might wonder what I’m going to do with all these zips.  Well armed with this pattern I’m going to make a few bags.  I also have another project on the go which I’ll show you next week that has zips too.  I’ll be the most organized girl in town :o)

Now here’s the best part… McZips is offering one of my readers a £25 voucher… just think of the many things you can add zips to!

To enter for your chance to win £25 GBP/$40 voucher for McZips leave a comment and tell me what you would put zips in.  Anyone can enter as long as I have a way of contacting you. (Leave your email address in your comment if you don't have a blogger account.) One entry per person please. I will choose a winner Monday July 16th, 2012!
Giveaway Closed...Winner to be announced soon :o)
And if you can’t wait to place your order with McZips then make sure you quote “Sew Create It” with your order and get a 10% discount!
Until next time...♥

Oh they look like candy- soooo sweet! I'm making a bunch of new pencilcases for the kids (and as gifts) at the moment- so lots of zippers are needed. I'll have to pop over and check out that store!

What a timely post. Yesterday I ventured into putting my first zip into a bag and am surprised how easy it is - silly me for being so scared of them before. I am now merrily making a range of bags, primarily for knitting and crafting projects. So this would be wonderful to replenish my small stock of zips, especially as I too am in the UK. Thank you for the info. C

Love the rainbow of colors! I saw a really cute pillow somewhere that had zippers sewn on as decoration. I've always wanted to make one of those, so that is what I might do. Or more zipper bags...I love making zipper bags!

Right this minute I would put a zip in the grey clouds and open it up to let the sunshine out. It must be up there somewhere. What fab colours. May have to purchase a few myself.

I have sewn all my life, but have never been brave enough to do a zip, but with these colours . . . I want to learn, and I want to put zips in bags, in pouches, in clothing . . . In *everything*. I am in love with these zips!

Now that's a different sort of give-away, and one I'd love to win. I'd like to make pouches and pencil cases for a Christmas craft fair.

Hi Jane - loving those zips, nicely coloured zips are so hard to find in the UK and expensive too. I need some long zips to make some sleeping bags for the baby I'm expecting. Got a list of things I need to make - may just pop along to have a look!! Thank you for the heads-up.

I've only recently learnt how to put a zip in (without zipper foot which I haven't got) and I see a big zip future! Firstly simple pouches, then bags with zips on internal and external pockets. There is no end what you can do with zips!

Wow Jane -- your zips are gorgeous. I LOVE that little dumpling pattern -- very, very cute!

What is it about zips all lined up in a rainbow row that makes all our hearts sing so much?! Thanks for the introduction to a new shop.

They are such beautiful colours. I have a wonderful pattern for a shift dress that has two zipped pockets so needs 3 matching zips. I love the have them co-ordinating with the fabric so am always on the look out for beautiful colours. Love the blog. Janette. ird@sky.com http://quilttherapy-janette.blogspot.co.uk/

Oh - what lovely colours Jane. I'd like to make some small bags and this time the zips will look great as they'll co-ordinate with the fabric. Thanks for posting about this great supplier.

At my LQS the lady there took an old pair of jeans, cut the legs off to make a short skirt and added rainbow zips all around it as the lower part of the skirt. It looked awesome and certainly something you dont see every day. Nice collection. (not sure if I'm too late for the give away but wanted to comment anyway. ;) )

I will use the zips for pouches too!:)
