Pushin' Up Spring Block

I seem to be nearing the end of some of my projects and this is another one.  This is the second to last block in the Pushin' Up Spring Quilt that was being run by Apple Blossom Quilts for her email subscribers.  I have one more block to sew and then the set of 12 will be ready to be sewn together.

Perhaps what I should do is quilt them first..in quilt-as-you-go style before I put them together...hmm that's a thought as the blocks are quite large :o)

Until next time...

I like the heart design applique. I have had hearts on the brain lately but I really don't need to start another project. LOL.

Neat flower block. :) It does look like a project that could work terrific in quilt-as-you-go style.

Sounds like a plan to quilt as you go especially if it's going to end up big! It will be great to see it all come together.

Your block is gorgeous! I love the fabrics you have used. I love that scrappy look.

So happy to see you posting once again about this quilt. I started this pattern as a result of seeing your first blocks! It is slow going but I have my first six blocks finished and hope to someday have them all done. Quilt as you go sounds like the perfect way to do these blocks. Please share as I'll need your inspiration!
SIncerely,
Jane

Sounds like you have a good plan there Jane. I went and had a look at the pattern and it will be a lovely quilt when you finish it.

Very pretty Jane. If you're that close to the end, you'll soon have a quilt done!

Hey, Jane - would you like to share this at today's BOMs AWAY? It would look so great there.

Just in case, here's the url:

Hi Jane, I've just found your blog -it's great and I love the heart design applique. I adore hearts and I'm looking for ideas to make my granddaughter a little quilt with hearts on but I'm very much a beginner!

These blocks are lovely - such unusual colour choices! (Which go together beautifully, I mean!)

Very nice applique work, that is something I would like to learn.
