I really do like pink...

When things get quiet on the blog, you will just have to assume I'm sewing!...and that I have been!  I dusted off the Accu-quilt and the 6 1/2" tumbler die and have pieced this top.  I was really pleased at how easy it was to cut the pieces and sew them together.  The Accu-quilt cuts the dog ears off the corners and makes matching the pieces a dream.

I haven't decided how to quilt it..but I would love any suggestions you have!
I've bought some Aurifil 28 weight cotton thread for the job from New Threads (U.K. shop that carries Aurifil..quick delivery...I'm not affiliated, just impressed with their service)

After piecing with all this pink I have decided I rather like pink...just has to be the right shade! :o)

Until next time...

This is beautiful! Very fresh looking for spring. I would hand quilt 1/4" inside each tumbler, because I am obsessed with hand quilting at the moment :)

Another convert to my Pink Club. You are right though, it does have to be the right pink. The tumblers look good. I would just keep it simple and stitch 1/4 inch inside each one.
Love Shirley.

Lovely spring colours Jane. I would be tempted to vermichelli all over and your loops and butterflies in the borders if it has them.

I don't know if I can explain this...but the one I'm working on at the moment I am going to "zig-zag". I will go top to bottom and follow the lines down 1/4 inch on both sides of the seam. Not the whole block. Does that make any sense??? It makes a zig-zag pattern on the back.

Very pretty. I made a mini tumbler quilt years ago. With the cutter I know you had those cut out in no time.

Ooh I have to try out that threads shop - I haven't tried aurifil yet in spite of the fact that everyone says I must. Fab quilt - don't come to me for quilting advice though, I never know what to say!
