Quilte Classique

Like any good quilter, one has to seek out the local quilt shop...
Of course I did have another reason why I wanted to visit this particular shop.  Long before my life in England, I started a fabric business with a very good friend of mine.  Many hours were spend sitting at her kitchen table planning and dreaming of the day we could open our own quilt store.  Well little known to me, life had other plans and took me across the ocean and while I did that Steph opened the shop which is Quilte Classique.  Located on the West Island of Montreal, Quite Classique is the only quilt shop left on the west side of the city.  The staff are friendly and are keen to help all quilters of every skill level...and I'm not just saying that :o)  I was there for a few good hours and it was clear that the atmosphere in the shop makes you feel as if you have walked into a very friendly home and you will be treated like you have just made some very good friends :o)

I took pictures to give you a virtual tour...but you are ever in the area, you must pop in and tell them I sent you :o)

They have a beautiful selection of flannels.... and a lovely new classroom should be ready very soon for classes.

Until next time...

That is a very intriguing quilt on the back wall there Jane. Any idea what the pattern is and do they sell it. I would like to add it to my collection. Life sometimes gets in the way of dreams and ambitions.

I bet that gave you some 'what could have been' butterflies. Not that life as it is isn't good - just different eh?
