Have you heard of...

Yarnbombing?  No?  Well apparently it is a type of graffiti that involves covering objects out in public in knitting or crochet.  Imagine my surprise when walking through Longton, in Stoke-on-Trent and I came upon this!  My DD1 who loves knitting was very impressed!

And lookie lookie what has just arrived in the house....  If I go quiet you know why :o)  Happy days!!

Until next time...

Yes, I've heard of it and have seen a bit around light posts and trees. But our city fathers, and I use that term loosely, are so stodgy that they have it removed immediately.

I know Longton well Jane, it was my stomping ground when I was much younger. My family are all neck enders.(terminology for the locals of Longton?!!) Have heard and seen that sort of thing before.

What beautifully colour-coordinated wools! Looks lovely! I'd have loved to have seen it myself.

But I have never actually seen it in Public...It makes the world a better place
