The flowers are blooming after the warmer weather we had over half term. The first picture of a flower on the chives. The second is a mystery. My neighbour gave me a plant, but forgot was it was he had planted...anyone recognize it?
Until next time...

Hello Jane
I found in my book : Eruca vesicaria
You can eat young leaves , during or after bloom
leaves are more spicy
My neighbour gave me some last year and it makes a good salad
In France we call it : Roquette
I like very much the way you take pictures and even more when it is quilts
I can wait to buy a new camera with a 50 mm lens and learn.
Good evening

Yolande is right - it looks like Rocket - the salad leaf. But if he only gave you one plant, that might be a small salad!!
Pretty though.
Oh, those are such beautiful images! Isn't summer wonderful???
I think these rocket flowers featured in the June issue of Country Living - there were several recipes using flowers. I shall have to check. Anyway, I'd gobble them up, they should taste peppery and good.
You make a tiny chive blossom look spectacular!
No idea what your mystery plant is Jane...
