Vintage Sheet Fun

I've joined the band wagon and have finally sewn my squares from "Use the Loot" into a vintage top.  I'm absolutely thrilled with the results.  I have another vintage sheet quilt in a different pattern in the works so I will have 2 complimentary quilts.  I think these will look sweet on each of the girls beds.

Until next time...

Lovely girlie quilts. When you say vintage sheets, do you mean 1870's patterns and they are all 100% cotton or a poly/cotton mix?

Lovely - i recognise a fabric that me and my sisters had as children - pink flowery duvet covers - what a blast from the past. Thank you Jane.

Oooh, those will be beautiful quilts Jane! Also, I have the Alma Allen book on the house quilt that you bought and I love it. I really want to make that quilt -- it's on my very long quilts-to-make-in-this-lifetime list!

I love the way you've used those squares, and the other fabrics you added to the mix! It looks completely lovely, and I can't wait to see the finished quilt.

And thanks so much for the mention - I've had several recent commenters let me know that they found my blog through yours. :-)

I am always amazed when I see photos of quilt tops made from vintage sheets. They look so fresh and crisp, like line dried linens flapping in the breeze. The variety of colors and prints looks retro yet current at the same time. Hope your girls love them as much as us "vintage" quilters who recognize the designs from our own youth!

Gorgeous. Now, did you collect these all in the UK? Some of those prints look familiar....

Your photos are always the best, Jane. All this vintage goodness has me drooling! LOL

So fun to see all those vintage sheet patterns. I can never resist buying them at thrift stores but I have a very difficult time cutting them up - my stash just keeps growing.
