Peer Pressure...

I wasn't going to join...I wasn't going to be tempted...I could turn a blind eye...I couldn't be influenced...How WRONG was I!

On Saturday at Rocheberie, Chris (soon to have a blog), Lynda and Liz all brought in their BQL January calendar mini-quilts. (as seen in the top picture) I was so impressed with them and how lovely they turned out that I couldn't resist joining in.  I have wanted to try my hand at little quilts for some time and this was the perfect oppotunity to try my hand at it.  I'm going to use homespuns and buttons...you can see the first few block in the little picture below.

I've also been working on some hand-appliqué in the evenings.  I have planned to make 4 of these and then take it from there.  I think some pieced work and some appliqué in the borders might be nice.

Until next time...

I do like your applique block! Great fabric choices.
I know all about that peer pressure when it comes to quilt projects.

Isn't is amazing how you can just feel yourself being drawn into some of these projects...resistance is futile!

They are so pretty - no wonder you had to join in.

Ha! You almost had me tempted there!! I have seen some applique similar to yours that is also calling my name... blog reading is bad for the 'to-do-list'!!!

What great little quilts! It's wonderful to work in a small size to try all sorts of things.

I love the little quilt with the circles. Are they applique? It is so cute, it makes me want to make one, too. I can see why you gave in. Is there a pattern for this?

Oh no, why did I have to read your blog?! Because of the wonderful new banner, because of the wonderful digital scrap-booking photos?!Yes but now I want to make such a little quilt too.
The appliqué looks wonderful too but one project is enough to get inspired! Take care.

Hi Jane! love those circles! I need to make one now as well. Homespun will be adorable. I am thinking maybe I'll do an I SPY one for a baby gift I need to do by March. How cute would that be! Thanks for sharing, Pam in Chico

Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's wanting to do, lol, we don't call it peer pressure, we call it "feeling the inspiration" and going with it! Way To Goooo! :D
