Here's a top tip...You know when you attach your binding to your quilts and you always end up with an extra bit of binding that you've trimmed off...Save them up and sew them together... after some time you will have enough binding to bind that scrap quilt...
Until next time...

Jane that's such a great idea!!!! I'm going to hunt through my scraps drawers and find all my leftover bits of binding and keep them in a bag especially for my future scrap quilt!! Very clever :o).
Thanks ....
Hugs,
Joy :o)
Great idea Jane. I hadn't thought of that
Love and hugs Gina xx
Thinking about it is about as far as I ever get - but I do have them all in one bag together so I guess that's partway there :o)
I've been doing the same (I save every tiny piece of fabric) for some time - I also keep them for applique - you never know what piece might come in useful!
That's a really clever idea! Thanks for sharing it.
Love that idea! I do save all my binding scraps too! I have them all in a basket. Now I am going to have to join them together!
This is a great idea.. I saved them all, but didn't know why. Now I am glad. Thanks
The photo is great!
Briliant colours and nice macro.
Wonderful idea! And, once again, I love your photo.
That's a great tip, and very timely as I'm in the middle of binding a couple quilts, and was actually just wondering what I'd do with the leftovers. thanks!
Good idea! What width do you normally cut you binding strips? I use 2 1/2" unless it's a little quilt, then it gets a 2 1/4"
Bonus...the scrappy binding looks great too!
Oh my gosh, what a good idea!! Never even crossed my mind!
You are so clever. I love scrappy bindings--they are my favorite--this is the ultimate scrappy binding. Now I just have to get making more quilts.
You've got a pretty piece of binding there, Jane. What is it destined to be sewn onto?
oh my gosh.
why didn't i think of that???
hahaha.
Now, that is a good tip! Thanks for sharing.
