IT'S DONE!

I'm so thrilled to finally post about the finished Irish chain quilt!

From Nicole's inspiration of two-colour quilts and the challenge set at the beginning of the summer...to the selection of red and beige fabric back in May! To a completed top in July and some quilting in August...and now I can reveal the completed quilt in November!!

What a lovely quilt. Nice color choices with the red and tan. And you handquilted it: I am impressed. Doesn't it feel good when you get a quilt done?

I have a few projects I am dying to blog about and can't yet. Either a present or almost finished.

the quilt looks great!
Really traditional.
You quilted it really fast - I'm just quilting a top which I had basted in september, I think, and I've just quilted the center.

I want to tell you-- and I hope you take this as a compliment. There are TONS of patterns out there, but this is a classic--- When I look at your work and the entire project... my first thought is--- there's a quilter. It's simple.. classic... you should be so proud.

I saw you stitcing this at the first Rochberie Quilters day that I attended back in September. It's beautiful and should have pride of place in your home. I haven't quite the patience for hand quilting so I'm deeply envious.
