Can you remember how it all started? ... just a little old patio that never really worked for us as a patio. A space that was just calling to be part of the house.
We saw a bit of mud, a bit of wet and let's not forget the Orange Tardis but we got there in the end! We had some great builders that worked really hard to create a fabulous space for the whole family...and a fabulous space for my sewing machine ;o)The big reveal is here...(insert drum roll)...
Tada!!!
I'm so thrilled with the room, the colours, furniture, the floor...everything is just how I imagined it would be. Everyone in the house has their own ideas on how they would like to use this space and I'm sure as we go along it will evolve...even the DD2 has ideas of it being a playroom...
guess who I found in there this morning!...She can stay as long as she doesn't complain about the thread ;o)
I've had a go on my sewing machine in the new room and I've finally started work on my Irish chain for Nicole's two-colour challenge. I'm hoping to make some steady progress on this now that things should get back to normal.

Congrats and enjoy it with all the family!
Woohoo!! All moved in. Did you smash some champange on the door frame?
Enjoy the space.
Very cottage. Looks really cozy. Congratulations. All the hard work certainly paid off.
Gorgeous! The light colours make it looks so warm and cozy. Enjoy!
Yippee - what a transformation - you deserve it!
How wonderful Jane, at long last all done and finished. Looks terrific.
YES! Looks wonderfully comfy and pretty. Love what you have there, you can come pick out room furnishings for me any time! Enjoy the new space.
Ooh Lovely! And I particularly like the floor - brilliant for just sweeiping up all of those bits of thread and fabric clippings that fall on the floor. I myself sew in an extension with a particularly old and particularly grotty carpet and dream of a nice hard floor to sweep.
Fantastic! You must be so pleased after all your hard work. It looks wonderful. I'm just waiting to hear who wins the 'My New Room' contest!
Congratulations! It is absolutely beautiful. And it's so refreshing to hear about a pleasant remodeling project with people having so many problems with contractors all the time. You should really recommend these people to everyone who'll listen. I wish the were over here since we need to have some stuff done.
Enjoy!!!
Awesome! Well done!!
I'm so pleased for you - what a lovely room for you to quilt in.
Hurray - it looks amazing ! Worth putting up with all the mess. Enjoy !
Oh wow it looks fabulous. Well done.
I love your new room! The colors are great! Enjoy using it!
Ah! It's beautiful! It's so much fun to see a home improvement project NOT take several months to complete (which would be typical in our house).
The new room is beautiful! So light and airy.
On a side note I am also from Montreal, and still live here.
It's beautiful Jane! Congratulations!
great room......enjoy it......
It's gorgeous. I love the way you've decorated it, so light and airy.
love and hugs xxx
Great colours and tiles are so much better in a sewing room than carpet. I'm seriously wishing we'd put something down instead of wool carpet in my sewing corner!
That was sure worth the work, the wait and the wet. Looks fabulous and I can see a great sewing room there.
Wow!! I, too, would be thrilled with such a cheery and bright studio! It turned out beautifully--I wish you many happy hours in there! If I could, I'd run over with a bottle of champagne--it's definitely worth celebrating!
Fabulous!!!! You will spend many happy hours in that gorgeous room! Very pretty quilt on the back of the sofa too.
Looks absolutely awesome!!! and if queen barbie approves, then it must be great :)
