Returning one step at a time...

This is a really tough post for me to write.

For some writing about their personal life is part of their blogging life, but I have always tried to keep the two separate, but today, it would be very difficult not to share what has happened and carry on blogging like everything is back to normal. I've made so many good cyber friends and you're probably wondering where I have been...so I hope to offer a little explanation, though it will be brief.

I have suffered a miscarriage. As you can imagine the whole family has been affected as we were so excited about having an addition to the family. I feel as though the rug has been pulled from under me and I'm not sure which way is up at the moment. It's going to take a few weeks to get back to normal and to get back to quilting..so if I'm quiet, you'll know why.

I'm sorry for your loss. Grief is different for each of us, all we can do is work through it as it takes it's own route. Take one day at a time, and enjoy the love of your family.

Dear Jane, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I had two miscarriages before my children were born and that it takes a long time to get over. Also your body can still be reacting long after you think it should. I was changed from someone who seldom cried to a person who cries at the drop of a hat even twenty years later. Please remember that your loss is as great as if you had known the child and give yourself heaps of time. Hugs Cherrie

I'm sorry--that's the words I liked to hear when I suffered my miscarriages. I also had an ectopic pregnancy--which lead to all of my children needing to be born c-section. Heaven's plan is sometimes different than ours. I'm sure you will be blessed. Thanks for your comment on my blog--I'm really enjoying the connection I feel with so many new people. I LOVE to quilt, too and have enjoyed your blogs. Hang in there. Julie

I just dropped by to visit your blog Jane and I am so sorry to read that you had such a loss.
I had a miscarriage in 1990 and it sure was devastating. Take special care of yourself and know that it takes a while to recover.
Big hugs from Canada
