March BQL Bag

I'm very ahead of myself getting my BQL bag made in the first few days of the month....an achievement which is likely never to repeat!
It went together very quickly, but I'm not sure I'd make a second one. I started with the top fabric (which is also the lining) and then I drove into my neat strip bins for coordinating fabric. Thanks to Bonnie's system I was able to put my hands on just the right sizes of strips, in the right colours without cutting into my stash. It turned out really well but with 9 more bags to go I'm going to need to think of a way to store them all...perhaps a bag for the bags!!! :o)

Lovely bag! I can't wait until my strip bins are filled too. It just doesn't seem like there's ever time to cut strips though. So many other projects...

Very cute bag and a great idea for stash busting. Can't wait to see more. You are a busy girl.

Wow, Jane! I think you need to lie down in a darkened room, after all that activity! the bag looks really goodd - the colours co-ordinate really well.

You can never have too many bags...particularly when they look as great as your bag does!

I saw the Dear Jane badge on your blog. What sort of fabric are you using?

Every time I see a cute bag like that, I want to make one. I just never seem to get around to it.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I love yours.

I went to Quiltville, like you suggested, and got tons of ideas for sorting my scraps. I also got ideas for some scrap quilts! Thank you!

Your bag is adorable.
