February = Red and White hearts

A little while back, Clare from Dordogne Quilter put out a request for 8 1/2" hearts for her Quilts 4 Leukaemia quilts. I finally got busy (I can do that now that my scraps are in control!!) and made her these 5 blocks.

Clare I hope to get them in the post tomorrow!!!

UPDATE: if anyone is interested the pattern for the woven hearts..it can be found on the Quilter's World Website. It's a PDF called Scrap Patch hearts.

They are beautiful. I'm going to be able to make up some beautiful quilts with all the hearts that are coming in.

Hi Jane, what gorgeous heart blocks....some of the nicest I've seen. Thanks for the link to the directions *VBS*
Loved your post on taming the scraps. Seems like quite a few of us have caught that 'bug'. I've been working on mine lately, take an hour each day to cut...slow but sure wins the race!
Hugs, Finn

These are so pretty -- how gracious of you to share them. Make some extras for yourself -- they'd make a cute table topper for Valentine's Day!
