Just call me Mrs. Flimsy!

Well the crumbs consumed me and I just couldn't finish the week without making a few more blocks. I added them to some string blocks I had made earlier this summer and added a few borders to make a finished top measuring 40" square. It will be another one for Project Linus. This now means I have 10 tops waiting to be quilted...I think that is a record for me.

Love the colours you've used in this one, and what a great way to use both the string and the crumb blocks.

Crickey - you do make lots of flimsies. I get accused of being fast but you put me to shame. What a great way to use up some of your scraps.

Hope you are feeling better, Jane. I love your crumbs quilt! The gingerbread man one is darling. You get more done when you are under the weather than I do when I'm not!

The star in the middle had me fooled! I thought it was a UFO you had cleverly framed to use up your scrappy blocks, but on closer inspection I can see it's made of strings! How clever is that!

That is a fun quilt or it will be when it's quilted ( along with the other 9 -lol. ) I must have somewhere near that number now and need to get some done.

String blocks? Crumb blocks? I have never made a string block, but now I feel a need to! Also, I am not sure why a Flimsy is called a flimsy.

I feel like I'm missing out on some good fun by not participating in some of the seasonal swaps that are going on. Maybe someday soon or is this by invitation only?
