Very sad news - Laurel Burch

I only just read this on my quilting list that Laurel Burch has died. What a sad day for those of us that have appreciated her work in so many ways.
Read more on her website.

Oh Jane - I just love her cats - I have a pottery one. She'll be missed.

Oh wow! She has made such a huge impact on design. I don't think I can ever go shopping without seeing something of hers or something clearly influenced by her.
(and her website has crashed becuase of the traffic!)

How sad - and what a great loss to the design world - she looked very good for 62 but it's no age at all to go. There'll be lots of beautifully painted angels up there that's for sure :o)

Oh, i'm so sad. I have a lot of FQ's of Laurel Burch and have not been able to bring myself to cut them up, they are so glorious. I also have a tapestry bag of her cats design, I shall continue to treasure it.
I hope there is a heaven, because if Laurel is up there, her colours will make it sing!
