What does one do while the family sleeps away on a Sunday morning? Well, I got my Trumpet Stars top completed. Now all I have to do is baste it and quilt it...do you think the family will sleep in again tomorrow? Let's hope so! :o)
Hello, Jane! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, and writing such a nice comment on my post about Easter! I had just finished telling my husband that I wished I could 'meet' some quilters online from the UK! Our youngest daughter arrived in London on Thursday as part of a University program on British Theatre and will study there for 11 weeks. I am hearing wonderful stories about London from her! I shall come back to your blog often and look you up on a map! Michele, in Salem, Oregon USA
You've got some really interesting things on your blog and I'm coming back to visit and explore some more. I love the push pin idea and I'll see if I can locate some of those button covers in Japan. The trumpet vine applique is beautiful too and just looking at your pictures makes me think I might want to do some applique again. Thanks for commenting.
The trumpet stars are absolutely gorgeous. I've always loved that pattern. Enjoy your quite time, I love it when I'm up before everyone else in the morning.
Isn't it amazing how much you can get done while the house is quiet! Dh is going on a business trip for a few days so I can happily live off of cereal and sandwiches while getting lots of sewing done!

Jane this looks fantastic. You've done a great job.
The Trumpet Stars design looks lovely, can't wait to see it quilted. It's great when you can get a good stretch of uniniterrupted time to work.
What a beautiful quilt! The colours are sweet! Do you have ideas on how it will be quilted? Thanks for sharing. Take care!
The Trumpet Stars is such a pretty block - what size is it?
it's beautiful!
I love the sashing you did for this quilt. It really adds the final touch.
