Oldest UFO

Patti at Quilting is My Passion had a post about her oldest UFO and that got me thinking about my oldest UFO. It's the 1999 Times and Seasons Calendar "From Sea to Shining Sea" by Piecemakers. I have given myself 10 years to complete it, but as I was telling Patti the thing that's holding me back is that I really don't have any idea what I will do with it when it's done. It's too heavy to sleep under and I don't think I have a wall that is large enough to display it....and the "permit" from the DH to pad the walls :)

Do you really think he'd dislike it all that much if you hung it up? I guess i'm really lucky - my DH doesn't seem to care what I do around the house. He is a true auditory person - hears every little sound but is one of the most unobservent people I know. I can have something hanging up on the wall for a couple months before he begins to notice there might be something different LOL!

Your top is beautiful! This would be so much fun to quilt - all the texture you can quilt in to fit the picture.

I love this quilt! My wedding reception was at a lighthouse in Massachusetts so I have a soft spot for them!

When the time comes you will find a home for it!

This is too nice not to do anything with you must have somewhere to put it. if not why not raffle it off for one of your favourite charities connected to this sort of thing, I dont know life boat rescue or something to do with the sea,,,, someone would love this and youd get alot of deserved publicity if you raffled this off, its just an idea. LOL
I dont take notice of men Id do it anyway and if the fella says what did you do that for? say you do do the cooking and housework and things you do deserve wallspace.
If hes still in a flutter just switch off and leave no bog roll in the loo next time he wants to go.
